Well said. I recall this being my first encounter with such an "X Factor" moment, having caught only the last couple years of the GD. The night before was not as tight, what with the special guests, but this night was extra special. I recall thinking my entire section in the balcony was, shall we say, especially "inspired," and the usher was struggling to help late-comers, apparently barely able to keep his face from melting off. We all pitched-in and helped people find A seat, if not THE one indicated on their ticket, and the organism thrived just fine, riding the waves of love emanating from the stage, as that ornate ceiling breathed in and out. Nice pull from this rig.

I dont know if this the best of Phil, but it certainly one of those magic shows where everything clicked.
also, the recording quality is way above par, and for that alone it makes a worthwhile download.
thankyou to all the bands that contribute live archive, the tapers, and to all of the greta people at live archive for bringing us the music that we love

I believe this is the exact recording of Broken Arrow played on Sirius/XM Grateful Dead Channel. I always thought this was the STRONGEST Phil Cover next to Tom Thumbs Blues performed with the Grateful Dead.

cant say enough about this set of warfield shows. pure magic. IMO peter sears was the best keys player phil played with, i remember when i saw him on the bill i jumped. first heard him in a little jerry project called animal minds and he was smokin'. and the energy just crackled in the air at this one. a must for any head. sound is great for an AUD too.
